Pricing, in plain English.

Is GST included in the price? +
No. All prices shown are ex-GST. We charge 18% GST and issue a GST-compliant invoice automatically (GSTIN, HSN/SAC code, everything). Colleges can claim input-tax credit where applicable.
Is there a setup fee? +
Not for Starter and Growth. You pay your first month and we get you live in 10 minutes. Institution plan includes a ₹25,000 one-time onboarding charge which covers data migration, training, and custom setup.
How does the migration cost work? +
CSV / Excel migration is free on every plan. We take your existing student, faculty, and fees data, normalize it, and import it. For complex migrations from MasterSoft / Fedena / legacy SQL, we quote separately — usually ₹15,000–₹50,000 one-time.
Annual vs monthly billing — which is cheaper? +
Annual saves 20%. On Growth at 1,000 students, monthly is ₹35×1,000×12 = ₹4.2L. Annual is ₹336×1,000 = ₹3.36L. You save ₹84,000 per year. Billing cycles start on the date you activate.
What counts as a "student"? +
Any active student in any active programme. Alumni, dropped, and transferred-out students don't count. Admission applicants also don't count until admitted. We snapshot count on the 1st of each billing month.
Refund policy? +
Monthly: no refunds on the current month, but cancel anytime — your next month simply isn't billed. Annual: pro-rata refund on unused months, minus a 10% early-termination fee.
What if my student count crosses a plan's minimum? +
No problem — you just keep paying per-student. Minimums are just the starting point. You can also upgrade plans mid-cycle; we pro-rate the difference.
Do you offer discounts for NGOs or rural institutions? +
Yes — 30% off list price for rural & trust-run institutions, registered NGOs, and first-generation-learner majority colleges. Write to us at contact@mcollege.in with 80G / registration docs.
Payment methods accepted? +
UPI, NEFT, RTGS, cheque, and direct bank transfer. Credit card is coming soon. For international dispatches, we also accept USD wire transfer.
Can I switch plans later? +
Freely. Upgrade anytime with instant pro-rated billing. Downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Your data and module configuration survive every switch.
